Talk about art imitating life...er, life imitating one's profession! Dominique Strauss-Kahn has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman in New York City. What makes this case front page news is the fact that Strauss-Kahn is 1) president of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and 2) the leading Socialist party candidate for the the presidency of France. In fact, he is - or was - running ahead of French President Nicholas Sarkozy in the polls.
This article nails it: Allegation Has Startling Parallels To World Economy.
Yes, the United States and IMF have indeed been accused of raping the world, both literally (typically with the help of U.S. soldiers) and figuratively (as in wrecking Argentina's economy).
Libya
The IMF - or the larger "Banksters" cartel of which it is a part - may even be behind NATO's invasion of Libya. In fact, the West began stealing Libyan assets and privatizing the country's banking system (formerly run by the state-owned Central Bank of Libya) even before they assassinated Gaddafi (see America's New Middle East Agenda: 8 Reasons For Attacking Libya).
Fortunately, Gaddafi hasn't been assassinated yet, though NATO is clearly trying hard. In fact, one might hope that Dominique Strauss-Kahn might help open people's eyes to the truth about NATO vs Libya.
Socialism, Inc.?
Another thing that interests me is the fact that Strauss-Kahn is a SOCIALIST candidate. HUH???
Isn't socialism supposed to be about fairness and social justice? Isn't it supposed to be the party of the people, rather than another meal ticket for Bill Gates and his Bilderberg friends?
Well, I don't know much about French political parties, but I do know that virtually all major political parties (and labor unions) in the U.S. have been infiltrated and corrupted by corporate interests. Any Seattle liberal who calls his or herself a "socialist" - especially one who runs for public office - only makes me suspicious; unless they have a credible track record (I haven't seen one yet), I assume they're a member of the Seattle Mafia.
Another interesting thing: When South African news bunny Lara Logan claimed she was raped by a mob of Egyptian protesters, President and Obama and Hillary Clinton were quick to offer her condolences and support - while ignoring the thousands of women who are molested and murdered by U.S. soldiers. So who will Obama and Billary support this time around - the victim or their friend Dominique? (Incidentally, I never believed Logan even before I learned about her reputation for exploiting sex and her marriage to a U.S. government contractor working in Iraq.)
Where's Obama?
Of course, the smart thing to do is not mention it at all. After all, it might distract Obama and Billary (O'Billary?) from their "humanitarian" mission in Libya - you know, killing civilians in their desperate attempt to assassinate Gaddafi, even as they steal Libya's money and natural resources, privatize its banking system, etc.
Fortunately, we can always count on Saint Bill Gates - the greatest philanthropist in world history - to come to the rescue of people who have been assaulted by his friends, investment firms and Microsoft/Gates Foundation/K&L Gates subsidiaries...can't we?
